The Facility/Space Planner shall coordinate, plan, develop, implement and maintain the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)-wide Strategic Facility Master Plan. Responsibilities include development, coordination and socialization of facility space strategy in concert with the DCSA Strategic Plan. Facility/Space Planner analyzes organizational space needs, limitations, and cost of leveraging space. Determines suitability for occupancy. Researches long-term facility space needs and ensures that plans for space meet organizational needs.
Considers size, lighting, and condition of space. Plans and implements for a space layout. Participates in space renovation and redesign. Manages records related to space allocation, standards, and improvements. The Facility/Space Planner may use Auto Cad and ArcGIS software to create drawings, blueprints, plans, and other design documents for a wide variety of uses.
Responsibilities
+ Offers professional services on assigned projects concerning design, construction, development or installation of buildings and facilities.
+ Manages agency wide space planning and management efforts to maximize space utilization and satisfy agency requirements.
+ Conducts basic facility requirements asset evaluations, master planning, and economic analysis.
+ Requests, receives, and processes datasets and translate information onto geospatial platforms that can be used for enterprise/agency wide analysis, queries, and decision making. The Planner provides directorate specific and cross-functional analytical capabilities.
+ Works to develop plans and objectives; coordinate, lead, and attend meetings with other DCSA support activities; presents findings and recommendations on impact of proposed requirements to the Agency.
+ Responsible for developing and maintaining space utilization metrics and data calls to support DoD facility audit readiness.
+ Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates planned and proposed agency facility requirements, special requirements, and other functions to determine short- and long-range resource and logistic support requirements.
+ Evaluates and recommends a variety of options in support of agency initiatives to either consolidate space, acquire new space, or construct new buildings.
+ Oversees redesign planning coordination projects.
+ Works with customer/management to review design changes, equipment specifications and substitutions.
+ Contributes to the development and design of feasibility studies for leadership decision making.
+ Manages multiple projects with multiple deadlines while delivering high-quality plans.
+ Develops and maintains orderly and complete CAD files as required for projects.
+ Provide remote support for designing and outlining plans for spacial layouts (troubleshooting, answering questions, dealing with escalations, etc.).
+ Works on projects with minimal oversight.
+ Assists in design and construction providing guidance on office and facility expansions.
+ Plans project requirements by developing drawings and details which include new planograms and space plans.
Qualifications
+ US Citizen
+ Hold active Secret clearance.
+ Degree in facilities or planning related fields.
+ Eight (8) years of experience.
+ Willing to travel 25%.
+ Proficient using Auto Cad.
+ Ability to execute work which may require sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
