Program Management Office Lead Engineer

You will serve as an expert and represent the Program Management Office lead engineer, providing critical technical leadership and guidance on a variety of complex and high-impact engineering initiatives and associated programs.

You will be involved in the program technical development and oversight of Marine Corps, Department of Navy, and Department of Defense programs, ensuring all project activities align with broader departmental strategic objectives.

You will be directly responsible for ensuring the project successfully meets all established technical requirements, a duty that includes your active and consistent participation in comprehensive technical project and design reviews.

You will conduct systems engineering with a direct role in test planning, requirements analysis, functional verification, systems analysis, systems control, and the development and delivery of associated systems engineering artifacts.

You will coordinate the efforts of technical area experts who are available to provide assistance with the challenging technical aspects of the project and will help the entire team to successfully address all of the technical issues.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the

Functional Area

and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1. Expert Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles.
2. Ability to work on a diverse team engaged in Defense Acquisition program management activities.
3. Expert Knowledge of any of the following functional areas:

-Communications, Intelligence, and Networking Systems
- Ground transportation and Engineering systems (i.e., Expeditionary Power, Motor Transportation) - Information Systems and Infrastructure (i.e., Information Technology, Computing Platforms, Network Services) - Infantry Weapon Systems (i.e., Anti-Armor, Infantry, Marine Expeditionary Rifle Squad, Recon, Optics)
-Combat Equipment and Support Systems (i.e., Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defense, Infantry Combat/Equipment, Test Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment) - Weapons/Sensors Development/Integration (i.e., MAGTF C2, Air Defense, Radar, Unmanned, Command/Control)
-Armor and Fire Support Systems (i.e., Expeditionary Fires Support, Artillery Rocket Systems, Tank, Assault Amphibious) - Command and Control-Information Technology Systems
- Counter Improvised Explosive Devices
4. Abitlity to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
