Supervisory Financial Management Analyst

Duties

You will collect, process, and maintain information using financial management systems comprising one or more applications (e.g., Standard Accounting, Budgeting, and Reporting System [SABRS], Command Financial Management System [CFMS]).

You will monitor production reports and budget cycle update results to ensure system functionality and continuity.

You will recommend the development or implementation of financial management policies, plans, or programs.

You will use software capabilities (e.g., Excel, Access, or similar software) to process, review, and report on financial data.

You will advise employees, Budget Submitting Offices (BSOs), and other stakeholders on Department of the Navy (DON) financial improvement and audit readiness (FIAR) processes and procedures.

You will review financial documents or reports for compliance with laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., federal appropriation law, Department of War [DoW] financial management regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

You will establish work schedules, deadlines and standards for acceptable levels of financial, accounting, or budgeting work and identify developmental and training needs to improve production and increase the quality of work.
