Duties - Provides advisory services and direction to management and leadership on Recruiting Programs throughout AFOSI ensuring the operational needs are met command wide.
- Represents the Field Operating Agency (FOA) with a variety of functional area organizations.
- Serves as a senior advisor to the Chief, AFOSI Recruiting and Applicant Processing Division on all aspects of total force (enlisted) recruiting, total force special agent applicant processing, and special agent initial skills training for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI).
- Reviews, evaluates, and advises management on the Internal Criminal Investigator Promotion Selection Process (PSP). Requirements Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
* Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
* Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.
* The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP-SECRET Security Clearance.
* May be required to perform other duties as assigned within the parameters of this position.
* Selectee must undergo an internal background investigation by AFOSI and must be approved for duty by the Commander of AFOSI or the Commander's designated representative(s).
* This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under Air Force Civilian Testing Program.
* Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
* It is required that you, (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing. This is a TDP and requires periodic drug test screening and/or screening prior to employment. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include: (1) Works with wide range of military and civilian HRM laws, executive orders, regulations, policies, directives, instructions, and concepts governing recruiting functions such as military accessions and civilian merit promotion, recruitment and affirmative employment and other programs to serve as an advisor in a law enforcement organization.
(2) Works with military missions and organizational structures, objectives, operating programs, key positions, and administrative/protocol policies and procedures.; and (3) Works with advanced recruitment and retention HRM principles, concepts, practices, analytical methods, a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, and relationships of various HR disciplines. This job does not have an education qualification requirement or applicable education substitution for experience.
