The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of over 2,200 personnel, with 700 at HQ and the remaining staff worldwide. NCIS is a Department of the Navy component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement, counter-terrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber matters, including exclusive investigative jurisdiction in non-combat matters involving actual, potential, or suspected criminal, terrorism, sabotage, espionage, and subversive activities.

As a SharePoint Developer
, your work at GDIT will be impactful to the NCIS mission.
- Design new applications integrating using both the SharePoint Controls and Web Service implementations as part of the overall architecture.
- Develop, test, and refine the applications to meet stakeholder requirements and established User Interface design.
- Build web-based applications to fulfill client’s business processes needs.
- Isolate, diagnose, repair and resolve software problems.
- Analyze and help develop and improve existing applications and processes.
- Collaborate with teams, leadership and customers to aid in development and implementation of various applications, framework improvements and infrastructure changes.
- Provide feedback for regular internal process improvement and best practice reviews.
- Apply industry best practices to all development efforts.
- Post, edit, distribute, and maintain appropriate content for classified and unclassified website/portals in SharePoint 2013 and 2019 environments.
- Develop and maintain an accurate, repeatable process for responses to official questions by collecting, consolidating, and preparing written responses to external RFIs or internal leadership queries.
- Create and maintain records in compliance with DoD Records Management policies and directives.
- Organize data, establish file structures, and ensure information is captured and stored accessibly to various user groups.
- Develop Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for coordinating information flow and periodically test these TTPs during exercises.
- Integrate information from departments and functions to facilitate easy access, sharing and dissemination with internal partners and external customers; train front-end users of knowledge management tools.
- Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Required Experience:
- 8+ years professional software development experience
- Expert-level SharePoint development expertise with understanding of content types, site columns, managed metadata and advanced search configuration with managed properties
- Ability to work with and create customized list and library forms at the code level
- Advanced understanding of CSS and master pages
- Understanding of technologies including .NET Framework, C#, Angular
JS, HTML, AJAX, ASP.NET, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, SharePoint Designer, complex SharePoint Workflows, Web Services, REST, KQL, SharePoint Server 2013/2019, and IIS - Required
Certifications:
CompTIA Security+ CE - Education: BS Degree or equivalent Computer Science or IT related degree
