Systems Administrator –

Wage/Salary Range: $100,000 – 130,000K

• Serves as a technical expert in areas relevant to the project.
• Must be capable of demonstrating experience in conducting analysis and developing solutions and in the application of information technology.
• Produces and reviews technical documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of specific technical areas.
• Recommends measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency.
• Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands‑off environment.
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Provide after‑hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years’ experience as a system administrator.
• Linux experience.
• Security+ Certification.
• Must possess or be able to attain a DoD Secret security clearance, requires U.S. citizenship.
• Experience supporting DoD or government systems (if applicable).

• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information; make appropriate judgments and evaluate options.
• Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).

• Master’s degree in computer science or related
• Secret clearance
• USMC logistics information systems experience
• Cloud experience
• Container repositories
• Nessus
• CISSP
• Agile development experience

This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety‑sensitive” functions.
