Network Engineer The Opportunity

A well‑designed network is critical to move data and enable federal law enforcement to achieve their mission. As a Network Engineer on our team you will work with government staff to enhance a reliable network that supports active criminal investigations, planning acquisition, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network components, resolving interoperability issues, supporting hardware acquisition, and applying expertise in detailed network monitoring and intrusion detection systems.

• Collaborate with SMEs and customers to understand strategic goals and operational needs that shape network requirements.
• Plan, acquire, install, configure, and maintain network components.
• Resolve interoperability issues across platforms and support the acquisition of hardware.
• Apply expertise in network monitoring and intrusion detection systems.
• Communicate with stakeholders and translate technical concepts into practical solutions.

• Experience with packet analysis tools such as Tcpdump or Wireshark.
• Experience working in a production environment with an end‑user base of 100+ external customers.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and internet traffic flow.
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in networking, or 7+ years of experience in networking in lieu of a degree.

• Experience working in Linux environments such as Ubuntu.
• Experience with Python scripting.
• Experience coordinating with external providers and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work directly with stakeholders and translate technical concepts into practical solutions.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for Top Secret clearance. TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is also desirable.

Projected annualized base salary range: $77,600.00 to $ USD. This figure represents a typical salary range for the position and forms one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
