Blu Omega is seeking a QA/Test Automation Engineer to support a federal program focused on national security. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for quality engineering of secure federal mission applications supporting industrial security operations, workflow management, and information exchange. The position requires experience supporting federal or DoD enterprise environments, cloud environments, and automated testing within a security-sensitive context.

Supporting the modernization of the DCSA's personnel vetting platform through transition, maintenance, and cloud migration efforts to ensure operational stability and long-term cloud modernization.

- Develop and execute manual and automated tests for mission application functions, workflows, APIs, integrations, reports, and data exchanges.
- Build and maintain automated regression, smoke, integration, API, and release validation test suites.
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical designs to define test coverage.
- Validate workflow behavior, case processing logic, reporting outputs, notification paths, user permissions, audit events, and exception handling.
- Test cloud-hosted applications and services, preferably in AWS environments.
- Identify, document, triage, retest, and track defects in coordination with development and security teams.
- Support test planning, data preparation, deployment validation, post-release verification, and production issue analysis.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, release scope, and quality outcomes.
- Support compliance testing including access control, audit logging, vulnerability validation, Section 508, data integrity, and security-sensitive functionality.
- 3-5 years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, test automation, or quality engineering
- Experience creating and maintaining automated tests for enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, or data-driven systems
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, smoke, and defect retest activities
- Familiarity with Agile, Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD, test management, and defect tracking practices
- Ability to isolate defects across application, data, and environment layers
- Strong written communication skills for test documentation and reports
- Experience supporting secure mission platforms involving case management, personnel or facility vetting, or workflow automation
- Experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab, Jenkins
- Knowledge of RMF, ATO, STIG validation, vulnerability testing, and federal compliance requirements
- Certifications such as Security+ CE, CTFL, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Developer Associate, or Agile testing credentials
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
