The PKI Specialist shall provide PKI Registration Authority (RA) support for the implementation, maintenance, and upkeep of the DoD/NSS/USMC Public Key Infrastructures by creating and removing LRAs, issuing and revoking Role Based, Code Signing, End User, Administrator, and Server certificates, handling alternate token issuance, certificate suspension, key recovery, SIPRNet Token, and CAC PIN resets.
The candidate will manage the production and issuance of USMC Alternate Tokens using the DoD NEATS System and the production and issuance of DoD/NSS SIPRNet tokens using the Token Management System (TMS). The PKI RA section operates as a fast‑paced work environment and serves as the only PKI Enterprise help desk in the USMC, providing professional and courteous support to customers located throughout the world, including tactical environments.
The candidate will use PKI RA and customer service skills to enhance network security by employing PKI while working with internal divisions, external organizations, various other Department of Defense organizations, and a multitude of Government and civilian stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work as part of a team of military, government civilian, and contractor technical experts to provide ongoing support, problem resolution, and recovery of critical PKI software and hardware components.
- Serve as an assistant auditor directly responsible for auditing Marine Corps Local Registration Authorities in accordance with DoD/USMC Certificate Practice Statements.
- Manage and use the Remedy ticket‑management system for the MCCOGPKI section, providing daily, weekly, and monthly tracking of all trouble tickets assigned to the section as required.
- Manage and use the MCCOG PKI section CAC Pin reset (CPR) program, providing direct support for CPR workstations located worldwide.
- Assist with documentation and training curriculum for Marine Corps‑wide training of Registration Authorities, Local Registration Authorities, Trusted Agents, and Key Recovery Agents.
- Maintain critical databases for both SIPRNet and NIPRNet implementations.
- Provide technical expertise to develop Marine Corps‑wide policy and plans such as Certification Practice Statements, Implementation Plans, Concepts of Operations, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Required:
DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE) - High School Diploma and 1–2 years of experience as an RA
- DOD/NSS RA Certification
- Security+ CE or other IAT Level II certification
- Key Recovery Registration Certification
- CPR Reset experience
- ITIL Foundations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate in a clear speaking voice and respond clearly to questions
- Aptitude to address negative situations and resolve them positively
Salary: $35—$47 USD.
