Shift options:
Monday + Tuesday 6:00 pm – 2:30 am;
Friday – Sunday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am EST. Wednesday + Thursday 6:00 pm – 2:30 am EST;
Friday – Sunday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm EST.
Position status:
Pending funding in August/September 2026.
The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is an organization of approximately 2,000 personnel that serves as the DON component with primary responsibility for criminal investigation, law enforcement, counter‑terrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber matters.
Responsibilities- Administer, manage, and maintain Windows Server 2016 and 2019.
- Responsible for Windows Server patching in an operational environment.
- Domain controllers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Object.
- Create, manage, and maintain accounts and groups in Active Directory, LDAP.
- Experience with Power Shell scripting.
- Monitor system environments and resources.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, resolve, and document problems with business applications and hardware on all enclaves.
- Deploy DISA STIG controls and ensure system compliance.
- Oversee system recovery mechanisms.
- Resolve issues independently.
- Coordinate, communicate, and facilitate escalation of required changes and major issues.
- Help diagnose and resolve computer‑related problems via remote control software.
- Respond to telephone calls and email requests for technical support.
- Accurately document all work in Service Now.
- Active Top Secret clearance.
- 5+ years of systems administration experience.
- Well‑rounded general computer system, network administration, and user support experience.
- Experience in mobile device management support and solutions.
- Experience with the NGEN IT infrastructure and enterprise class networks.
- Ability to administer user accounts and device associations in Active Directory.
- Prior experience with installation, operation, configuration, and maintenance of multiple types of business and end‑user application software in a large government installation.
- Familiarity with a variety of technical support applications, concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Required certifications:
Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA Security. - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Onsite location at Quantico, VA.
- US citizenship required.
- Shift 1:
Monday + Tuesday 6:00 pm – 2:30 am;
Friday – Sunday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am EST. - Shift 2:
Wednesday + Thursday 6:00 pm – 2:30 am EST;
Friday – Sunday 6:00 am – 6:00 pm EST. - Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
