The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is a Department of the Navy component responsible for criminal investigation, law enforcement, counter‑terrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber matters. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports NCIS’s core mission by planning and providing services through the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure of the United States Navy and Marine Corps.
Responsibilities- Plan, manage, and execute IT projects, creating and maintaining project deliverables such as charters, schedules, plans, dashboards, and requirements documents.
- Communicate job expectations, monitor progress, and appraise results; coach, counsel, initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
- Brief senior leadership on project status and coordinate with technical and business personnel to manage resources and timelines.
- Understand cybersecurity requirements related to the project.
- Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures, evaluating outcomes, problems, trends, and upcoming needs.
- Provide technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.
- Interact with vendors, other agencies, client staff, and stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintain quality assurance of project deliverables.
- Provide recommendations to the Program Manager for resource operations management and ensure compliance with all policies, plans, and procedures.
- Manage personnel recall and database, maintain training certifications and resumes in GDIT’s document repository.
- Coordinate hiring, reassignments, and terminations with HR Business Partners and recruiters as applicable.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Note:
Position availability and funding depend on support through the August 2026 timeframe.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance required and eligible to obtain.
- 7+ years of IT project management experience leading both complex and small projects.
- Previous cyber and network operations experience preferred.
- Strong DoD subcontracting experience.
- Current PMP certification required.
- ITIL and Service Now experience preferred.
- BS/BA degree.
- US citizenship required.
- Location:
Onsite at Quantico, VA.
