Duties
* At the Service/Agency level, the employee serves as the command military and civilian information systems analyst and administrator/expert technical authority responsible for the MAJCOM and base-level personnel computer systems with direct reporting to the Director of Manpower and Personnel (DP).
* Directs, monitors, and controls operations, maintenance, and data quality of the MilPDS and DCPDS systems.
* Provides accurate and timely guidance to requests for information received from various sources. Composes correspondence as necessary to other Service Headquarters organizations, other military agencies, and Department of Defense to clarify questionable areas.
* Performs special assignments and projects to include, but not limited to, briefings, studies, reports, surveys, kneeboards, etc. Manages the AFOSI/DP Web page and sharepoint sites. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position is Centrally Managed; PCS is authorized and will be paid by the career field.

* The employee must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
* This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.
* The employee must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
* The employee may be required to work overtime.

* The incumbent must undergo an internal background investigations by OSI and must be approved for duty by the Commander of OSI or the Commander's designated representative(s).

* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, GS-0201 Series. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge and application of HR principles and concepts and reengineering efforts sufficient to: develop approaches to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of large scale HR information system(s) services;
lead and/or function as an expert for the HR information system(s) on agency reengineering teams, requirements analysis teams, or implementation and conversion teams; and develop operational plans for the development, deployment, enhancement, maintenance, and future development of the HR information system(s). FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in
-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
* Knowledge of automated data processing functions, techniques, and capabilities including relational database principles, Structured Query Language (SQL), and microcomputer operations. Requires specific knowledge of Discoverer or OBIEE, DCPDS, MILPDS, Discoverer, Excel and Access.
* Ability to process data systems requests, analyze Air Force system data, design and develop computer-based databases, and provide management with timely analysis on personnel programs and issues.
