As a Spanish Linguist with DIA at Quantico, VA (on-site) you will provide foreign language interpretation and translation support to several intelligence Community member organizations, internal directorates, and divisions.

• Provide written translations of collected material using syntax and expressions from Spanish to English
• Provide written translations of materials derived from the collection of foreign media sources
• Provide interpretation of collected foreign language materials
• Advise government lead on cultural, social, and ethnic significance of conversations, situations, documents, regions, and geographic areas

• SECURITY CLEARANCE: A current & active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Acceptable DLPT scores (minimum level +3/+3), or native proficiency as determined by an Interagency Language Roundtable Test (ILRT) skill level of 3-4 in Spanish in speaking, reading, writing, listening, and Advanced Working Proficiency (ILRT level
3) in English.

• Requires current test scores of ILR 3 or higher in reading, writing, listening, and speaking for both the target language and English

• High degree of skill in translating documents or performing verbal translations that meet the American Translation Association Standards
• CI OR HUMINT OR OSINT EXPERIENCE NEEDED
• Deep regional expertise (Mexico and Central America)
• Military operations experience
• Social media platform or mobile application knowledge
• Moderate to advanced computer skills
• IC experience preferred
• Strong communication and briefing skills
• Ability to work well both independently and on teams
