Supervisor - Cafeteria Zone

Job Summary

Perform a wide variety of manual tasks in kitchen or dining area of a food activity, which involves light to moderate physical effort and is done according to established procedures. Serves as a lead and provides guidance to lower level employees. Performs duties as Supervisor in his/her absence.

• Set up food on self-serving lines and portion food for individual servings in accordance with instructions.
• Refill cold bars, salad bars, pastry cabinets, condiments, juice dispensers, and set up dining rooms.
• Replace glassware, dishes and silverware and refill condiment containers. Wipe and wash tables and countertops.
• Clean work area, utensils and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors, walls, windows and tables.
• Remove dirty dishes, glasses and silverware from serving counters. Mix washing solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and/or wash dishes, glassware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils by hand.

• Maintain in a sanitary condition equipment and work areas, utensils and tables.
• Perform ware-washing, and keep pot and pan areas in order prior to, during and after meals.
• Follow correct cleaning techniques, cleaning schedules and tasks.
• Assign duties to lower level employees in the absence of a supervisor.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
• Must be able to pass and maintain a Tier 5 FBI Security Clearance required.
• One-year food service-related experience preferred.
• Must obtain Serve‑Save certification within 90 days of hire date required.

• Strong customer service skills required.
• Neat, well‑groomed appearance required.
