Principal ELSUR Collection Software Engineer
Mission Technologies is looking for a Principal Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) Collection Software Engineer for an exciting opportunity. A Principal ELSUR Collection Software Engineer is a senior-level technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems used in digital collection systems—particularly those supporting law enforcement and ELSUR (Electronic Surveillance) operations. This is a pipeline requisition intended to gather interest from candidates with this skill set for future opportunities.

Essential
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Software engineering or related field and 12-15+ years of relevant experience
- Masters degree in software engineering or related field and 10-13+ years of relevant experience
- PhD in software engineering or related field and 8-10+ years of relevant experience
- 12 YOE as a software, application engineer, or developer on computer and database management systems
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience with FBI ELSUR Program
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a close team environment
- Previous leadership experience or willingness to lead and mentor others
Physical Requirements:
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
