As a Student – Absence Management, you will play a key role by carrying out various administrative tasks related to absence management, disability cases, and supporting the department’s activities. you will accomplish with us

As a Student – Absence Management, you will be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and responding to new requests received in the team’s mailbox;
  • Answering employee questions by phone or email according to established guidelines;
  • Following up with vendors regarding invoicing and ensuring invoices are processed;
  • Managing the opening and administrative follow-up of disability files, including activities in various systems such as employee records, notifications to external providers, updates to the main database, and departure notifications to managers;
  • Providing administrative support to the Global Health team in implementing improvement projects related to disability management and other related activities;
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of existing processes;
  • Supporting the team with any other related duties.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is currently a student in a related field;
  • Is available to work a minimum of 21 hours per week during academic terms (daytime, Monday to Friday);
  • Stands out for their proactivity, efficiency, and discretion in carrying out their duties;
  • Demonstrates a high level of autonomy;
  • Has a strong customer focus and a high degree of professionalism;
  • Is recognized for their organizational skills, ability to manage priorities, and commitment to quality work;
  • Demonstrates an interest in health and safety in the workplace;
  • Has an intermediate level of English proficiency, as the individual will be required to communicate verbally and in writing, in the course of administrative duties, with English‑speaking colleagues and internal and external partners across Canada on a weekly basis;
  • Has excellent French language skills, both spoken and written.

The typical hiring range for this position is $23.50 to $28.75 CAD per hour; the base salary offered varies according to years of study and the position status (student or intern). At iA, we are committed to offering a fair, equitable, and market-based compensation structure. Our market data is updated annually to reflect the most current market conditions.
