Job Overview

We are seeking a senior credit and risk leader with deep expertise in complex lending and a passion for building high-performing teams. This role plays a critical part in shaping lending practices, guiding credit decisions, and ensuring strong risk management across the organization.

Responsibilities

As the Credit and Risk Operations Manager, you will provide leadership in credit and risk operations, legal recovery, and departmental management. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will lead complex credit decision-making, provide technical direction across lending, and ensure effective risk mitigation and portfolio performance. You will work closely with leaders and teams across the organization to support sound lending practices while delivering an excellent experience for both internal and external members.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field plus 7 to 10 years of senior-level experience in commercial and agricultural lending or credit risk management. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk principles, collections, and legal recovery processes.
  • Previous leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to make sound, timely decisions in complex and high-risk situations.
  • Knowledge of the credit union system or banking industry is considered a strong asset.
