Job Description
Abb Vie is seeking a hands‑on and experienced FP&A Senior Financial Analyst with expertise in scenario modeling, business case creation and knowledge of pharmaceutical business to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial planning process, including budgeting, SG&A management, accrual preparation and variance explanations. The position will work closely with Commercial & Market Access teams and will report to the Commercial Finance Lead.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders ensuring precise financial reporting and forecasting while fostering a cohesive work environment.
- Develop and deploy robust financial models and analytical tools to support strategic business decision‑making allowing for scenario planning.
- Actively participate in the budgeting process and financial planning of price elements.
- Manage monthly SG&A expenses including Advertising & Promotion and other BU related expenses.
- Oversee the review and approval of purchase orders, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and objectives.
- Address and fulfill ad‑hoc financial requests as needed to support business objectives.
- Review and approve invoices ensuring compliance and alignment to company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Preferred 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance.
- Extensive experience in financial analysis, data modeling, and data analysis.
- Familiar with revenue planning and forecasting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
- Proven experience in cost management & analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage analytical skills to drive innovative solutions and influence business outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information to facilitate data‑driven decision making.
- Experience in business planning to support strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Advanced knowledge of English / Fluency in English is an essential requirement for the position of Senior Financial Analyst, including for English‑speaking employees and clients outside the province of Quebec and in anglophone regions outside the province of Quebec.
