Role DescriptionThis is a part-time remote role for a generalist commercial lawyer. The attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice to clients on an ad-hoc basis, primarily contract reviews and contract drafting. The applicant will be required to work independently and effectively with clients and other stakeholders. This role is best suited to independent practitioners with other streams of work to which this role is complimentary or someone looking to earn some additional remuneration on the side of a regular job.

- Expertise in contracts, corporate law and IP.
- Expertise in negotiating commercial leases, experience with franchises preferable.
- Expertise in conducting research and developing legal strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Adequate experience in exploring legal implications of business deals
- Admission to the Bar in Canada.
Remuneration will be discussed at interview.
