Salary range (but not limited to): 80,700 - 98,700

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We’re looking for a Unit Manager, Facilities, to join our growing team!

What you’ll do here:
  • Lead and supervise teams across multiple locations including two Intact sites in Quebec: occasional travel to the sites and in Canada to attend management offsites.

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Facilities and Reception teams and provide support to business operations.

  • Supervise and mentor the team, act as the main point of contact for communicating information to the building and facilities manager.

  • Drive team performance and support employee growth and engagement.

  • Supervise the work of the Quebec team responsible for reception duties and inbound calls.

  • Support Manager in implementing, monitoring, and reinforcing IFC-wide safety policies and protocols within their area of operations.

  • Review, update and improve business processes to support operational excellence.

  • Collaborate with people at all levels of the organization to analyze their requests and suggest solutions that meet their needs while respecting priorities, policies and the strategic budget.

  • Manage administrative support staff or call centre personnel. Use allocated resources to achieve the team’s performance objectives and results.

  • Make decisions based on broadly defined policies, procedures and business plans. Assign and coordinate the team’s work and oversee day-to-day operations.

What you bring to the table:
  • At least three to five years of experience in a similar position.

  • Customer-driven.

  • Ability to work with thoroughness and integrity.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Focus on excellence.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of commonly used software, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook), Internet Explorer.

  • Knowledge of the real estate and building management fields, an asset.

  • Manual skills.

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English and French.

  • [Bilingualism (English-French)]– You will be answering calls and providing services to English-speaking customers on a regular basis.

  • No Canadian work experience is required; however, you must be eligible to work in Canada.
