Job Brief:
World Gym Quebec is seeking a dynamic and versatile Marketing and Community Social Media Coordinator with a strong graphic design background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling visuals for digital marketing campaigns and managing our social media presence, all while fostering a sense of community engagement. With a deep passion for fitness, creativity in content creation, and expertise in design, this individual will drive impactful marketing strategies, leveraging eye-catching graphics to boost engagement, acquisition, and brand recognition.

This role requires a multifaceted approach that integrates marketing coordination, graphic design, and social media management.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and create visually engaging graphics for digital marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency with World Gym’s branding.
  • Develop, schedule, and monitor compelling content (images, videos, and text) across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok) to capture attention and drive engagement.
  • Respond to member comments, messages, and feedback in real-time, maintaining a positive and interactive online presence.
  • Event Promotion & Community Engagement:
    • Create visually striking promotional materials (posts, flyers, banners) for gym events, special classes, and community initiatives, ensuring these materials are aligned with the gym’s branding and goals.
    • Engage with the community through creative content, fostering participation and building a strong sense of belonging among members.
    • Leverage graphic design skills to create dynamic content that generates excitement and drives attendance for events and promotions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Performance Tracking:
    • Work closely with internal teams (sales, coaches, design) to ensure cohesive messaging for campaigns and events.
    • Track social media engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, clicks) and use insights to refine content strategies and improve visual appeal.
    • Ensure timely communication and coordination of marketing initiatives across various channels, meeting deadlines and maximizing impact.
  • Content Creation & Brand Alignment:
    • Maintain and refresh content on the website, blog, and social media channels, ensuring all visuals, graphics, and messaging remain aligned with the World Gym Quebec brand.
    • Develop graphic assets that resonate with the audience, from social media posts to email newsletters, driving strong engagement and acquisition.
  • Administrative & Marketing Support:
    • Assist in managing the marketing budget, ensuring campaigns stay within financial guidelines while delivering results.
    • Assist in administrative tasks such as preparing presentations, organizing meetings/events, and managing inventory of marketing materials.

Requirements:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or a similar role, with a strong portfolio of graphic design work (campaign visuals, social media content, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and content creation tools (Canva, etc.) and Word Press.
  • Strong ability to design and execute visually impactful campaigns that translate into engagement and acquisition.
  • Expertise in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok) and familiarity with social media tools.
  • Ability to create, manage, and analyze social media content that resonates with the fitness community.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends to engage with the gym community during peak interaction times.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (in French and English).
  • Ability to adapt content tone and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team to achieve marketing goals.
  • Passion for fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Preferred:

  • Experience in community management or working with fitness/wellness brands.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
