The ideal candidate will have drug sales experience and relevant disease and product knowledge. He or she also possesses strong influencing and negotiation skills honed in highly competitive markets.
Ensure monitoring systems are in place and effectively managed to evaluate the effectiveness of the sales force. Regularly measures success, documents and provides feedback on performance to management. Establishes effective working relationships with key local and national opinion leaders who can influence policy positions and prescribing protocols. Manages territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other miscellaneous external expenses. Acts as a resource person for other sales team members, and supports the Line Manager in mentoring and coaching other team members.
Participates in the preparation of internal and external sales meetings and conferences. Assists line manager in meeting regional business development needs.
Lead strategic planning sessions and facilitate ongoing performance reporting to key stakeholders. Performs necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner, e.g. update customer database, expenses, etc.
