Position: Senior Geochemist / Senior Hydrogeochemist (La Pocatière)
Senior Geochemist / Senior Hydrogeochemist  We are seeking a high‑performing scientist who will lead and support geochemical, hydrogeochemical, and hydrogeological projects within the mining sector across Canada. The role requires advanced scientific expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver high‑quality reports and consulting services.
Responsibilities   Lead and support the planning and implementation of geochemical, hydrogeochemical, and/or hydrogeological projects in the mining sector across Canada.
Direct project managers on projects that support all phases of mining such as baseline studies, permitting, operational support and monitoring, closure planning, post‑closure monitoring, and special investigations.
Provide senior technical leadership and insight for geochemical/hydrogeochemical projects, providing senior technical support internally and outside of the company.
Supervise, mentor, and assist with the development of technical skills of junior and intermediate level staff.
Contribute geochemical or hydrogeochemical expertise to large multi‑disciplinary projects in collaboration with other senior staff.
Represent Trinity Consultants Canada Water and Ecology in the scientific community through high‑quality deliverables, industry engagement, and participation in technical conferences.
Qualifications   Advanced degree in a relevant field.
PGeo., PEng., or eligible.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including experience in aqueous geochemistry investigations, acid rock drainage/metal leaching (ARD/ML) assessment, water quality, and monitoring program design and implementation (surface water, groundwater, and sediment).

Experience with water quality and geochemical modelling (Gold Sim, PHREEQC, Geochemist’s Workbench, CE‑QUAL‑W2) is an asset.
Effective analytical and technical editing and review skills, and ability to ensure the delivery of high‑quality reports and proposals.
Developing strong consulting acumen by being highly self‑directed and motivated, and having a track record of achieving a high degree of client satisfaction.
Experience in providing senior‑level review and oversight.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional people skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and professionally, to diverse audiences including team members, clients, and regulators.
Excellent time management, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, excellence, and ethics.
Experience in the mining sector is an asset.
Compensation  The posted range is $80.00 to $104.00 per hour, reflecting wages for a broad scope of experience. Starting pay will be determined based on education, qualifications, and relevant experience.
