Salary
From $35.57 to $38.70 per hour, in addition to annual allowances such as a $2,140 Correctional Service Specific Duty Allowance (CSSDA) and an Inmate Training Differential.

Duties
The facilities management and technical services team, composed of employees from various trades, is responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of physical assets, systems and related equipment, including roads, land, buildings and associated infrastructure, in approximately 1,850 buildings and across more than 6,200 hectares of land managed by the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) nationwide.

• You will be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of the plumbing systems at Donnacona Institution, including potable water distribution, drainage, heating, and fire protection systems.
• You will install, replace, and modify piping, plumbing fixtures, pumps, valves, water heaters and other mechanical components while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility’s infrastructure.
• You will troubleshoot plumbing systems, diagnose equipment failures, recommend appropriate corrective masures, and perform all work in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, industry standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• You will also maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and materials, assist with maintenance planning, and help ensure a safe, organized, and efficient workshop environment.
• As part of CSC’s mission, you may be required to provide training to offenders on safe work practices and workplace behaviours that promote employability and support successful social reintegration.
