To learn more, visit  Summary As part of the Energy Services Acquisition Program (ESAP) the third-class Plant shift Supervisor, operates, maintain and repairs a wide range of equipment of two 3rd class Central Heating & Cooling Plants, and Electrical Substation and Pump House as part of a large District Energy System (DES). The DES comprises of several Stationary Engineers which brings on exciting career advancement opportunities

Responsibilities

Performs maintenance and repairs Plant equipment (Boilers, controls, chillers, pumps, HVAC, steam systems, Pump House equipment, Electrical Substation, Energy Transfer Stations (ETS), etc.)Test Plant equipment; maintain and clean machinery, equipment and building during operations.

As per applicable regulations and during his hours of work/shifts, must execute required operations and maintain performances of Power Plant machinery & equipment including gas fired boilers, electric hot water boilers, chilled water plant, electric motors, fans, pumps, air compressors, piping. Monitors/adjusts equipment.

Prioritizes a good working relationship and client satisfaction.

Carrying out operations and startup procedures of the Central Plants, Pump House, electrical Substation and their preventive maintenance, analyses and make the necessary recommendations and adjustments.

Follow up on work with external contractors and always maintain EQUANS Health & Safety Standards.

Perform daily rounds and inspections, maintain energy efficiency by recording and analyzing energy consumption.

Maintain a high standard of the water treatment. Requirements / Qualifications Authorized to work in Canada Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings

Certificate as a stationary machinery mechanic:
Class 3 in heating, Class A in refrigeration;

Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a stationary equipment mechanic.

Knowledge of control system operations;
