Materials Specialist

Overview

Insight Global is looking for Material Specialist II to join their growing team supporting the Advanced Manufacturing Industry. A Materials Specialist manages daily sourcing and purchasing activities for raw materials, chemicals, and metals, ensuring timely supply to support production needs. They coordinate inbound shipments, work closely with brokers and customs partners, and oversee local supplier contracts to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

Using SAP and other ERP tools, they track orders, update records, and monitor inventory levels. The role also involves resolving supply issues, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting continuous improvement across procurement and logistics processes.

• Manage daily sourcing and purchasing activities for raw materials, chemicals, and metals to ensure timely supply for production needs.
• Coordinate inbound shipments and work closely with brokers and customs partners.
• Oversee local supplier contracts to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
• Track orders, update records, and monitor inventory levels using SAP and other ERP tools.
• Resolve supply issues and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Support continuous improvement across procurement and logistics processes.

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field is Preferred
• 3+ years of experience as a buyer/procurement specialist for raw materials, chemicals or metals
• MUST be bilingual in Korean
• Experience working with Brockers / Customs
• Experience with inbound shipments and managing local contracts
• Experience working with ERPs (SAP)

• International Shipment Experience
• Background in coordinating international operations, particularly within APAC markets.
