What You'll Do- Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom where children feel valued and excited to learn.
- Plan and lead engaging, hands‑on lessons and activities that support children's language, cognitive, social‑emotional, and motor development.
- Teach foundational early learning skills, including colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and early literacy concepts.
- Foster children's curiosity, creativity, confidence, and independence through play‑based and teacher‑guided learning.
- Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety during classroom activities, outdoor play, and snack time.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
- Follow all Arizona state licensing regulations and Grow and Learn Preschool policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Director and teaching team to provide the highest quality care and education for every child.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 6 months of preschool or licensed childcare experience.
- High school diploma or GED required. Coursework in Early Childhood Education (18 credit hours or more) is preferred and may satisfy Arizona teacher qualifications.
- Must obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Must successfully pass all required background checks.
- Must create an account with the Arizona Workforce Registry and complete all required Arizona DES training within the required timeframe.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Reliable, dependable, and passionate about working with young children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
