- 7+ years of experience in government affairs, economic development, or public‑sector funding, with direct responsibility for securing state and/or federal grants, incentives, or tax credits for large capital projects (manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, or industrial developments)
- Arizona‑specific experience, including hands‑on work with Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), Governor’s Office, state legislators, and/or Maricopa County or East Valley municipalities (Queen Creek, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert), showing the ability to navigate local political and economic‑development dynamics.
Insight Global is looking to hire a Sr. Government Affairs Specialist to lead day‑to‑day efforts securing state and federal funding for large‑scale manufacturing and energy projects. This role will proactively engage with state economic development agencies, governors’ offices, legislators, and federal agencies to identify, pursue, and negotiate grants, tax credits, and incentive programs.
On a daily basis, the individual will coordinate funding applications, develop incentive strategies, manage external lobbyists and consultants, and align internal teams across finance, legal, and operations to support submissions and compliance. The role also serves as a key external representative, tracking legislative and regulatory developments and translating policy opportunities into executed funding outcomes that directly support business growth.
