Position: IT Systems Analyst (4984)

Job Goal

Analyze software, hardware, and the wider IT system to ensure the business needs of the District are accomplished. Ensure proper communication between all District information systems and ensure the security provisioning within each District system is maintained.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field. Comparable IT field experience and/or certifications also acceptable.
  • Analytical skills that ensure that any ETL of data through SFTP, or a 3rd Party Service, uses only the minimal data required to get the expected utilization of the system integration.
  • Collaboration skills to work with the front-end owners of systems to ensure their security provisioning and hierarchy is structured appropriately with correct access for any individual user.
  • Time management skills to ensure a balance between multiple systems being optimized throughout the District.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 261 days; 12 months

COMPENSATION: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position

BENEFITS: As per QCUSD District policy

REPORTS TO: Director of Information Technology

HOURS: 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday 7 a.m.

-3:30 p.m.

CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt

Performance Responsibilities

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Implementing new systems and its security provisioning.
  • Maintain systems and their security provisioning according to QCUSD and Department standards.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Response in a timely manner to Directors, Executive Directors, and Cabinet members regarding systems integration, security provisioning items, and systems performance issues.
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Responsible, and main point of contact, for all integration between programs and data with multiple vendors (Synergy, Google, Clever, iVisions, Visions, Talent Ed, etc.)
  • Assist with and oversee any IT Department needs regarding data integration and SIS efforts.
  • Provision and manage security systems. 11. All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or their designee.
