Job Classification Summary

Positions assigned to this class are responsible for administering and maintaining the Town’s enterprise GIS infrastructure. Work includes architecting, configuring, and supporting ArcGIS Enterprise platforms; administering enterprise geodatabases; implementing system security and backup procedures; developing custom applications and automation workflows; and integrating GIS with enterprise business systems. • Monitors system health, performs diagnostics, troubleshoots performance issues using ArcGIS Monitor and related tools, and implements corrective actions.
  • Leads and coordinates enterprise GIS upgrade cycles, data migrations, and platform expansion initiatives.
  • Provides technical guidance, mentoring, and training to GIS staff and key stakeholders on enterprise GIS workflows and best practices.
  • Develops system documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, data governance practices, and disaster recovery procedures.
