Schedules, dispatches, and assists in planning pupil transportation services. Provides guidance and assistance in related safety, operations, and department issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency.
- Must pass a background clearance
- Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Knowledge of motor vehicle regulations and safety.
- Experience in coordination of bus transportation preferred.
- Knowledge of the Town of Queen Creek and outlining areas preferred.
- Must be proficient with computer functions, map reading and customer service responsiveness.
- Must be proficient in laws and regulations governing schoolbus transportation as instituted by the State of Arizona and the Department of Public Safety.
260 Days; 12 Months

REPORTS TODirector of Transportation
HOURS40 hours per week and may require longer hours, Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30PM
CLASSIFICATION:Non-Exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coordinates the dispatching of buses when bus operations are interrupted by breakdowns, accidents, traffic delays, and other situations that may affect operations on time performance.
- Assigns substitute and stand-by drivers to prevent interruption of service.
- Advises bus drivers in situations outside of standard procedures and various emergencies.
- Coordinates and mobilizes resources to respond to emergency situations.
- Responds to telephone calls from school personnel and parents concerning routing information, late arrival of buses, complaints concerning bus drivers, and related matters.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Dispatches buses and assists with matters concerning safety, accident reports, public relations, and data collection.
- Compiles information for special studies of bus operations as requested by higher-level personnel.
- Possesses the ability to multi-task, have good stress management and make precise decisions.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
