Position: Construction Superintendent (Healthcare) | Queens, NY
An established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to oversee the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong field leader with experience working in occupied healthcare environments and managing complex renovations, fit-outs, and new construction projects. Client Details Our client is a highly regarded General Contractor with a strong presence in the healthcare construction sector.

They are known for delivering complex projects for hospitals, medical centers, outpatient facilities, and specialty healthcare environments while maintaining strict safety, compliance, and operational standards. Description Lead all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects from mobilization through project completion. Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with project management teams. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control requirements, life safety measures, and hospital operational protocols. Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and identify potential issues. Manage daily site logistics, workforce planning, and material deliveries. Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Participate in client, architect, and subcontractor meetings, providing project progress updates.

Monitor project milestones and proactively resolve scheduling or construction challenges. Oversee project closeout activities, including punch lists, inspections, and final turnover. Profile Proven experience as a Superintendent delivering healthcare construction projects for a General Contractor. Strong knowledge of healthcare construction standards, infection control procedures, and phased construction in occupied facilities. Experience managing hospital renovations, medical office buildings, outpatient centers, or specialty healthcare facilities.

Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades effectively. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and quality control processes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
