Division/Department Information:
The Division of Administration & Economics houses the B.S. in Fashion Studies, Program the B.S. in Enterprise Regulation:
Profit and Non-Profit, and the A.S. Program in Business Administration.
- The Fashion Studies Program provides students with knowledge, skills, and experiences to succeed in the industry. The program provides a comprehensive, in-depth, and global approach to studying the business aspects of the fashion industry. The core curriculum consists of courses in various areas of fashion, business, ethics, and sustainability. Foundational knowledge and skills in fashion studies are supported.
- The Enterprise Regulation:
The Profit and Non-Profit program focus on the business industry's fundamental competencies, which are vital for the field's future managers. The core curriculum in the liberal arts will provide students with the broad knowledge and strong communication skills that today's employers expect of well-educated professionals. Business Law knowledge will facilitate effective managers and facilitate effective managers. While also cultivating creativity, leadership skills and entrepreneurial abilities are in wide demand in the business arena.
This program provides students with business law knowledge, skills, and experiences to succeed in the business industry. - Internships are an integral part of our programs. Internships may be completed in New York and at one of the University's global campuses, locations in Rome, Paris, and Limerick, Ireland.
- The St. John's Community provides internship guidance, mentoring students and provides students with the tutelage to succeed in their chosen career.
Accounting
The adjunct will cover financial accounting concepts that form the basis of external and internal reporting by business entities. They will explain how financial information is communicated to management, stockholders, creditors, and others interested in the status of the business enterprise. The adjunct will cover such topics as the basic accounting framework and concepts: reporting of income, financial position, and cash flows, the accounting process including accruals, and financial statement of elements.
Economics
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Economics adjunct to teach an introduction to the fundamentals of the economic system. The "macro-economic" approach to employment, prices and economic stability in the context of globalization. The Economics adjunct should be able to also cover the fundamental tools of microeconomics (individual decision-making, markets). The goal is to provide students with a fundamental understanding of economics thinking, enabling them to apply economic concepts to real-world scenarios.
Management & Marketing
