INSTRUCTOR or ADJUNCT ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

3410 AUTISM AND INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY:
This 3-credit course will review concepts, procedures, and research related to autism, intellectual disability (), and other developmental disabilities from a psychological, educational, and biomedical perspective. This course will cover a range of topics including etiology, assessment, the development of language and communication, social development, challenging behavior, family support, community integration, psychological interventions, comprehensive programs, psychopharmacology, legal issues, and public policy.
In addition, this course will provide students with a broad range of information regarding research and applied behavioral sciences. Knowledge of autism, , and developmental disabilities will be important for future applied behavior analysts, school psychologists, clinical psychologists, special education teachers, regular education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, developmental pediatricians, social workers, policymakers and education/disability lawyers.

- Guide students to work collaboratively on all phases of research projects (literature reviews, hypothesis development, IRB submissions, data collection/management/analysis, submission of abstracts to local and national conferences).
- MA in Psychology or related fields including Data Analytics.
- Strong skills and knowledge about research design, implementation, and data analysis.
- High level writing and reasoning skills.
- Ideally, the instructor will have taken the course previously.
- Must be able to work with other instructors running other sections.
- CV is required with minimum of Master's Degree for Instructor level and Phd or Psyd for Adjunct Assistant Professor level.
