Staffing Coordinator, Nursing

A skilled nursing facility in Far Rockaway is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to oversee nursing schedules and staffing operations within the building.

This role is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing coverage, coordinating schedules, managing call-outs, and supporting daily workforce operations. The ideal candidate understands the staffing demands within a skilled nursing environment and can work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain nursing department schedules

• Manage call-outs and secure coverage for open shifts

• Monitor staffing ratios and daily staffing needs

• Communicate with nursing leadership regarding staffing concerns

• Assist with overtime tracking and labor management

• Maintain staffing records and scheduling documentation

• Support agency staffing coordination when needed

Qualifications

• Prior staffing or scheduling experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

• Experience with scheduling systems preferred
