Safety Security Officer - Queens, NY

Westhab -  - Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and security of all clients, staff, and the property at a homeless shelter;
Control access at the main entrance by screening clients and visitors with a magnetometer or x-ray machine;
Make hourly rounds throughout the facility including hallways, stairwells, floors, bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchen, and offices;
Perform crisis intervention to de-escalate potential crises and document interventions;
Monitor video surveillance and respond to incidents; assist with client intakes; maintain logs and incident reports
