Temporary Full-time Professor Of Cybersecurity And Networking
SUNY Adirondack is seeking qualified candidates to help support our Cybersecurity and Networking AAS Program as a 1-year Temporary Full-time Professor of Cybersecurity and Networking. The Cybersecurity and Networking program covers foundational IT concepts as well as the content of industry certifications including general CompTIA certifications, and Cisco and EC-Council certifications.
Teaching experience is highly desirable, especially experience in a community college environment and/or teaching high school students (to support the college's ECCA and PTECH programs). Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the community college philosophy, familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom, teaching strategies with a focus on student-centered learning, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work in a collegial setting within the division.
The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology (or related field). Alternatively, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology (or related field) along with industry experience and/or industry certifications. Finally, the successful candidate must be a Cisco Certified Instructor for the CCNA.
Employment Type
Temporary Salary Placement on salary scale reflects individual degrees/experience. The minimum starting salary is $52,489 and is complemented by a generous benefits package. Summer teaching and overload are additional. When applying, please include a letter of interest that should be addressed to:
