Job Title

SUNY Adirondack is seeking qualified candidates to help support our Journey worker:
Technical Trades Management AOS Program as an adjunct faculty member.

Job Description

This program is designed to enable individuals who have achieved Federal or State accredited Building Trades Journey worker status to gain additional skills in construction management. This specific position would be focused on teaching courses in Construction Management and Construction Estimating. Specific topics include (but are not limited to) construction economic considerations and scheduling; building codes and other government regulations; labor, material and equipment cost estimates;

and estimated depreciation costs.

Required Skills

Teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable, especially experience in a community college environment. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the community college philosophy, familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom, teaching strategies with a focus on student-centered learning, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work in a collegial setting within the division.

Requirements

The successful applicant will have a Master's Degree in Engineering, Technology or related field. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or related field and years of industry construction management or estimating experience will be considered.

Salary:
Adjuncts' salary is based on the number of credit hours per semester, remunerated at the rate of $1,285 per credit hour.
