Overview
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission seeks a Government Operations Consultant II to provide administrative and clerical support to the Northwest Region's Wildlife and Habitat Management Section. The role functions as a subject matter expert on business matters affecting the region's Wildlife Management Area system, managing databases, files, hiring coordination, procurement, and budget monitoring. This is a temporary position reporting to the Regional Wildlife Biologist, based in Quincy, Florida.
Qualifications- High school diploma and eight years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, or administrative work (or bachelor's degree substituting for four years)
- Minimum Florida Class E Driver's License
- Knowledge of state purchasing laws, rules, and procurement processes
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and maintain effective working relationships
- Experience with budget monitoring, database entry, and office management
