POSITION SUMMARY
Extraction Technician II is responsible for performing extraction and production operations. The focus of the role is to prepare, weigh, operate extraction equipment, and ensure quality of input and output material. The role requires attention to detail and an understanding of extraction equipment and science.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure incoming inspections (moisture, texture, overall quality, size through sort, etc.) of incoming batches of flower and pre‑roll material are performed.
- Ensure socks are filled and all necessary pre‑operation duties are completed and correct.
- Perform propersetup and changeover of equipment to ensure efficient operation of preroll, BHO, ethanol, CO2, and supportive processes (winterization, filter, off‑gassing, etc.).
- Handle packaging, extraction, extraction support equipment and processes, and labeling equipment.
- Trained and signed off to operate and monitor machinery, at least three extraction and supplementary machines, including BHO extractors, ethanol extractors, CO2 extractors, Roto equipment, VTA, winterization process, etc.
- Trained to perform machine setup, changeover, normal operations, and escalating complex issues to maintenance. Conduct and document routine equipment checks and minor adjustments during operations.
- Fill out all proper paperwork checks and PM documentation; submit any equipment issues to leads and Facilities and Maintenance.
- Ensure safety protocols of equipment are operating correctly, checking that rates are standard and machines are operating correctly.
- Ensure cleaning processes and/or runs for equipment; verification paperwork is filled out, and PPE per cGMP and Trulieve maintenance standards are performed.
- Train Extraction Tech I to perform activities: machine/sock fill, monitor ovens, label, and other duties to quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of completed tasks for documentation and traceability; collaborate with facilities and maintenance teams and leadership to resolve issues and documentation questions.
- Monitor equipment to ensure optimal performance to SOPs and address any issues.
- Notify leads of any quality, machine operation, and material challenges as they occur, as well as fixes performed.
- Attend to other job duties as assigned by management.
- Controls and instrumentation experience.
- Ensure timeliness of return from breaks.
- Work in a fast-paced controlled environment.
- Work with chemicals, oils, and sharp objects.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- 1+ year in working with processing quality at Trulieve.
- Able to work under minimum supervision.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to manage changes in working schedule.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to pass state‑mandated background screening.
- A High School Diploma.
- Minimum 6 months in the Flower Packaging Tech II role or 2 years working with equivalent equipment complexity.
- SAP/Emaint/state‑mandated system (Metrc, Biotrack, MJ Freeway) entry experience preferred.
- Outstanding communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Work in close proximity and with cannabis flower and particulates on a daily basis.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection).
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day…
