  • Perform Post Harvest Technician I and II duties
  • Participate in harvesting, intaking, drying, curing, trimming, machine operation, and transfer of cannabis material
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all facility equipment
  • Perform periodic equipment checks and solve detected problems
  • Run, maintain, and clean machinery
  • Maintain food safety standards and care for equipment
  • Defoliate plants as needed
  • Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system
  • Document testing results through reports and logs
  • Input data into the company database
  • Conduct continual quality control assessment as product moves through the process
  • Operate equipment according to standard operating procedures
  • Weigh and dispose of plant waste
  • Process and prepare material according to SOP and/or cGMP cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Account for all material and products according to company policies and procedures
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag excess plant material
  • Clean, sanitize, and store equipment after use
  • Follow company safety rules and regulations
  • Perform cross-department manual duties as needed
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and clean environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must be proficient and achieve goals in all Post Harvest Technician I and II skill assessments
  • Must be active in the Post Harvest Technician II role for minimum of 6 months to qualify for Post Harvest Technician III role
  • Knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including harvesting, drying, curing, and trimming
  • Maintain good discipline and attendance standards
  • Ability to work hands on with cannabis plant material daily
  • Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed/requested by the direct supervisor
  • Ability to work as a team unit while completing tasks and creating constructive collaboration with members of other departments
  • Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and a team player
  • Excellent time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are consistently met while maintaining high quality finished product
  • Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations
  • Comfortable with Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
  • Must pass a level 2 background screening
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing for extended periods and perform climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and frequent/constant hand movements
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, including 95 degrees or greater
  • Must have visual acuity for reading, computer terminals, and detailed visual inspections in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc.
