Job responsibilitiesMaintenance Workers are responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of structures, electrical systems, plumbing, washers and dryers, heating and ventilation and air conditioning systems in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC), Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) and Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) directives.
Essential FunctionsIt is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent, Technical training and two (2) years related experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver’s license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Post Hire RequirementsMust successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
