Good Samaritan Home of Quincy is currently seeking an Admissions Assistant to join our growing team!
Job Summary:
The primary purpose of the job position is to assist the Admissions Director in meeting with prospective residents to assess their admission potential, explain and initiate admission procedures, and manage paperwork that identifies, charges, and prepares residents for admission to the facility. The Admissions Assistant also assists in controlling, monitoring admissions/readmissions, and in the placement and transfer of residents to appropriate beds.
Pay Range: $16.02 - $18.02/hr. – Bi‑weekly pay
Full‑time position: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (other hours as needed)

- Provide tours of the facility and inform residents and families of available services.
- Obtain necessary personal, social, medical, and financial information needed for admission.
- Maintain an analysis of those admitted to the facility, those that request information, walk‑ins, respondents to direct mail campaigns, etc., to define our market share.
- Plan, organize, direct, and supervise incoming admissions and assignments.
- Maintain admission records and compile statistics and reports as needed.
- Maintain an awareness of admission and discharge regulatory changes.
- Attend meetings, in‑services, conferences, etc., as required.
- Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare field preferred.
- Confirmed leadership and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work within a high‑stress environment.
- Passion, ambition, eagerness to improve, and computer literacy.
- Valid Driver’s License.
