Schedule:

Monday–Thursday

Shifts per Week:  4

Shift Duration:  12-hour days

Shift Times:  12-hour shifts with a mix of 10:00a–10:00p or 6:00a–6:00p (based on clinic needs)

Hours per Week:  48

Setting:  Walk-in urgent care clinic

Patient Volume:  ~60–70 patients/day across 3 providers (typically ~2.5 patients/hour)

Qualifications &

Job Requirements

Licensure:  Active Illinois physician license required (IMLC not accepted)

Board Status:  Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (Family Medicine Physician)

Procedural

Skills:

Splinting and suturing required

Availability:  Must be able to cover the Monday–Thursday schedule

Key Responsibilities

Provide efficient, patient-centered evaluation and treatment for walk-in urgent care patients

Perform in-scope procedures, including  splinting  and  suturing , while maintaining high quality and safety standards

Manage patient flow by seeing the next patient in queue and maintaining throughput in a high-volume urgent care setting

Practice confidently during designated independent coverage windows while collaborating with the broader care team (physicians, NPs, and clinical staff)

Document assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and procedures clearly and accurately in the medical record (EMR/EHR)
