Aboutthe role
The role is responsible for the research, development, and commercialization of food products and technologies that deliver outstanding Taste and Nutrition solutions. This position supports projects from early concept and ideation through pilot plant trials, production scale-up, and customer commercialization.
The role works cross-functionally with Culinary, Sales, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and other subject matter experts to develop, optimize, and deliver customer-focused solutions that “Nourish and Delight” customers. A strong customer-facing mindset is required, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling culinary and technical presentations.
Key responsibilities include product formulation, competitive benchmarking, process optimization, and troubleshooting customer applications. The role also contributes to the development and protection of Intellectual Property through thorough documentation of research and technical findings.
Key responsibilities- Conduct research including new product development and the improvement of existing food products.
- Develop and optimize food formulations, processing methods, quality control systems, and packaging solutions.
- Work in pilot plant environments and support production trials, scale-ups, and commercial launches.
- Support projects from concept to commercialization, including ideation, formulation optimization, and validation.
- Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams.
- Develop gold standards in collaboration with Culinary partners and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Perform competitive product matching and benchmarking.
- Field internal and external customer requests, supporting projects through development, commercialization, and troubleshooting.
- Assist customers with technical issues related to formulation, processing, and application.
- Understand and troubleshoot customer processes to deliver practical, scalable solutions.
- Coordinate and participate in customer calls alongside Sales and Culinary teams, delivering both technical and culinary presentations.
- Work cross-functionally to leverage Kerry’s full capabilities and deliver optimal Taste and Nutrition experiences.
- Document research activities and technical findings to support and protect Intellectual Property.
- Manage multiple project requests and deliver results within customer-required timelines.
- Travel to Kerry production facilities and customer sites as required.
- Strong food formulation and product development expertise.
- Ability to translate technical knowledge into customer‑facing solutions.
- Experience with pilot plant operations, scale‑up, and commercialization.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills, both technical and non‑technical.

The pay range for this position is $ 35,943.00 - $58,286 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay‑for‑performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
