Job Overview

Step into a hands‑on R&D lab role supporting blower and vacuum pump product development, where you’ll build, instrument, test, and troubleshoot real electromechanical systems that directly shape product performance. You’ll work in a standalone R&D test engineering lab running prototype and production‑intent hardware for validation, performance testing, instrumentation, and failure troubleshooting. In this dual‑path engineering role, the primary focus is lab‑based R&D and test engineering, with heavy emphasis on hands‑on execution, root‑cause investigation, and clear, detailed test reporting.

As you build experience and business needs evolve, you’ll expand into supporting and growing toward electrical design ownership. Work is fast‑paced and highly variable, spanning new product development validation and urgent issue resolution tied to active engineering challenges. You’ll be the engineer who connects test data to real‑world behavior, identifies failure drivers, and communicates clear, actionable findings to drive decisions.

This is true lab‑first engineering inside a dedicated R&D environment focused on real blower and vacuum pump systems. You’ll spend your time actively building, testing, and troubleshooting, not sitting behind a desk. Root‑cause problem solving is central to the work, with ownership of translating test results into clear engineering insight. The role offers a defined path from hands‑on lab test engineering into electrical design ownership, inside a fast‑moving environment built around rotating and dynamic machinery, where you’ll join as an expansion hire positioned to make an immediate and visible impact.

Responsibilities
  • Build, instrument, and operate blower and vacuum pump test setups.
  • Support validation testing including performance, thermal, durability, and reliability testing.
  • Configure sensors, wiring, and data acquisition systems to capture accurate test data.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical issues in lab and prototype environments.
  • Support teardown, inspection, and failure analysis activities.
  • Assist in development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
  • Support integration of motors, sensors, heaters, and protection devices into equipment.
  • Work with senior engineers on electrical design improvements and component selection.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback based on lab/test findings.
  • Support prototype builds and iterative development cycles.
  • Assist in evaluating new technologies for blower and vacuum systems.
  • Translate lab findings into practical design improvements.
  • Assist manufacturing teams with electrical build issues and troubleshooting.
  • Support field issue root cause analysis when required.
  • Maintain test records, reports, and engineering documentation.
  • Communicate…
