Job Summary:

Ingersoll Rand’sSummer 2027

Engineering Internship Program provides current college students with challenging assignments, leadership training from senior leaders and opportunities to network. All interns will be part of a 10-12 week program within a business unit. These positions will contribute to the engineering design and development of current and new products.

Our internship opportunity is offered to candidates working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering. Other majors will be considered on a case-by-case basis. At Ingersoll Rand, we place great value on our interns. Our positions are structured to maximize your internship and professional experience.

This position is a paid internship for the Summer of 2027. We offer a lump sum housing stipend for our interns. We are not able to guarantee the internship location you will be assigned to and require that you remain flexible on your location.

These opportunities are available in the following locations:

• Quincy, IL
• Springfield, MO
• Bentleyville, PA

Responsibilities may include:

• Assist in the design and development of rotating equipment, including air compressors, blowers, and pumps
• Assist in projects involving lab testing, new technology innovation, and product analysis
• Answer marketing/technical/systems/applications questions when requested by peers or internal customers
• Assist in the testing and verification of software (for Electrical/Software Engineering candidates only)
• Assist in electrical system design for various products (for Electrical Engineering candidates only)
• Handle all details of assigned projects from inception to completion within mutually agreed-upon time frames
• Must be open and willing to work in an active lab and/or manufacturing environment

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Computer, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0
• Superior leadership abilities

• Highly motivated to achieve desired goals and objectives in a fast-paced, creative, results-oriented atmosphere
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems
