Pay Range: $15.35 – $23.03 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some variability based on departmental needs)
The Role
Quincy Medical Group is seeking an EHR Technician to support our Health Information team with document management and electronic health record processes. This role is centered on maintaining accurate medical records, managing chart storage and destruction, and ensuring compliance with all HIPAA and record retention guidelines.
The EHR Technician plays an important behind-the-scenes role in protecting patient information while supporting clinical and operational workflows. This position is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- The EHR Technician supports daily Health Information operations by scanning, indexing, and maintaining electronic patient records while ensuring proper chart storage and secure destruction in accordance with retention policies.
- This role monitors documentation for accuracy and completeness, assists with record requests, and ensures strict adherence to HIPAA and compliance standards.
- The position also cooperates with internal leadership, the Office for Civil Rights, and other legal or regulatory entities during audits, reviews, or investigations.
- Additional responsibilities may include assisting with EHR workflow support, maintaining document integrity within the system, and contributing to process improvements that strengthen compliance and data security.

- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in health information management, medical records, or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and record retention standards preferred
- Strong computer skills and comfort working within electronic systems
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
