As an Intake Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and referral sources, ensuring a smooth, efficient intake and referral process. You’ll verify insurance, complete intake documentation, schedule appointments, and maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations. - Welcome clients and gather required information at the point of intake
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits; ensure financial clearance
- Schedule appointments for consultations, assessments, and follow-up care
- Accurately complete intake and admission paperwork
- Maintain up-to-date census information using Bed Board
- Enter client/patient demographic and clinical information into the EHR
- Communicate effectively with referral sources and internal departments
- Address client concerns and coordinate appropriate resolutions
- Maintain organized client charts and perform clerical support duties
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Participate in cross-location collaboration and support as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in medical office administration, intake, or front-desk support preferred
