About

The Role

As a Registered Dietitian at Quincy Medical Group, you will provide specialized nutrition care across our Dialysis, Endocrinology, and Medical Weight Loss programs. You will work closely with patients and interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized nutrition plans that support chronic disease management, kidney health, metabolic health, and sustainable weight management.

Schedule & Work Environment
  • Full-time position, Monday-Friday, daytime hours.
  • Schedule may vary based on patient appointments and departmental needs.
  • Outpatient role supporting Dialysis, Endocrinology, and Medical Weight Loss services.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy and individualized nutrition counseling based on each patient's diagnosis, health goals, and treatment plan.
  • Complete nutrition assessments and develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans of care.
  • Provide specialized nutrition support for dialysis patients, including education related to renal nutrition, fluid management, laboratory values, and dietary needs.
  • Partner with Endocrinology providers to support patients managing diabetes, metabolic conditions, and other nutrition-related health needs.
  • Support the Medical Weight Loss program by providing evidence-based nutrition counseling, goal setting, education, and ongoing patient follow-up.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition recommendations based on clinical outcomes, laboratory results, treatment changes, and patient needs.
  • Educate patients and families in a practical, supportive way that encourages sustainable changes and informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and other members of the care team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in patient education, program development, and other initiatives that support nutrition services across QMG.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field required.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
  • Current Illinois licensure as a dietitian nutritionist required.
  • Previous experience in renal nutrition, dialysis, diabetes education, endocrinology, weight management, or outpatient nutrition preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based nutrition practices.
  • Excellent patient education, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to tailor education and recommendations to individual patient needs, readiness, and health goals.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple clinical programs.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $52,000 - $78,000 annually
, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
